InnoBOT3D: Maker Night – 3D Design & Printing Workshop for High School
Learn to make a 3D model and take it home!
About this Event
Workshop Mentor Team:
Prakash J., InnoBOT3D
An engineering professional, Prakash has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University with a decade of industry experience. His interest includes research and development of 3D printer technologies. Prakash enjoys sharing his STEM knowledge and real world experiences with the aspiring student entrepreneurs.
Fernando P., InnoBOT3D
Fernando is a hacker-maker and a Fabologist! He has an undergrad degree in Computer Science from University of California Irvine. He fabricates almost anything you can imagine including some of our InnoBOT3D printers. ‘Failing Forward’? In Engineering innovations ‘Failing Forward’ is inevitable. Fernando is not afraid of failing forward, if he does he fails early, fails often, but always fails forward developing and evaluating alternative solutions to the problems. He is our Innovator!
Omar R., Bytes & Bots
Omar, a recent Mechanical Engineering undergraduate from California State University Fullerton, is ready to take on serious engineering challenges. His interest includes creating engineering designs, CAD, prototyping, and 3D printing technologies. Omar mentors and helps our students bring their ideas to functional prototypes.
What You Will Learn
This 3 hour introductory level workshop takes you through the process of the design cycle and making your first prototype. Take your local innovation to 21st century global market. Turn your imagination into useful products.
You will design a sample model in a web based CAD software and 3D print it.
